The key lead is Junior’s connection to the Redanians. Investigate the arena or gambling hall, then report to Sigi and visit Roche. Finish The Gangs of Novigrad before meeting Roche’s contact in Oxenfurt; that meeting fails the still-active side quest in the legacy walkthrough.
Find the arena’s hidden letter
After the arena combat, loot Igor’s key and open the box beside his throne. Read the message, inspect the floor scrape marks with Witcher Senses, then interact with the nearby wall torch to open the secret door. Read the letter inside the hidden stash.
Finding the room is not the same as reading its clue. If the journal still points to an investigation, check the looted document and active objective before leaving.
Gambling hall and empty house
The gambling hall leads to Rico on the upper floor after the confrontation. His information supplies the Redanian lead. Junior’s searched house does not provide the useful revelation, so repeatedly scanning the same rooms there is not a substitute for the other investigation routes.
Before pursuing Roche, decide whether you want Cleaver’s separate quest completed. Keep a manual save before the Oxenfurt contact sequence if you want to compare the optional path.
Continue to the final meeting
- Return the Redanian information to Sigi.
- Visit Roche’s camp and follow his meeting instructions.
- Complete wanted Cleaver objectives before the contact meeting.
- Use the new lead to reach Junior’s mansion and finish the story conversation.
This page focuses on the investigation blockage and cutoff rather than reproducing every fight or reward. Later decisions about Junior’s fate belong to that story branch. An old save before the contact meeting is the replay checkpoint; a later failed side-quest entry is not restored by searching the arena again.
