Enable cross progression under the same CDPR account on both devices, then create a new save on the source. Check its cloud icon before expecting it in the destination’s Load Game menu.
Upload from the source device
- Update the game on both devices and preserve a local or separate original save.
- In Load Game, use the displayed Cross Progression prompt and connect your CDPR account.
- Check the Gameplay cross-progression setting, then create a new save. Wait for the cloud-marked result.
- On the destination, connect the same account through the current account/rewards prompt and inspect Load Game.
The older support instructions call the destination entry My Rewards. Remastered revised the account menus, so follow the actual prompt shown by your build. The service offers the latest save of each type, not an archive of every slot.
If the save never appears
Check account identity, the source cloud icon, online status and settings in that order. A launcher’s own cloud sync is not proof that the CDPR cross-platform upload completed. A destination game license is also separate from a transferred save.
If it appears but cannot load
Match required expansions and the enabled mod set. A save requiring content absent from the destination cannot be treated as an empty-cloud problem. Read modded-save transfer limits or the missing DLC error.
Existing saves are officially compatible with Remastered, but this flow does not establish backward loading of newly saved 5.x files into Classic. For that separate decision, see version rollback. If a source PC cannot write any new save, begin with local save failure before debugging transfer.
