Complete Flesh for Sale on Faroe before advancing Following the Thread with Lambert. Older players disagree about whether merely starting Lambert’s quest is enough; finishing the Faroe task first avoids depending on that disputed boundary.

Keep both opportunities
- If you want both quests, keep a manual save before the Lambert sequence.
- When you can travel to Skellige, go to Trottheim on Faroe and deal with Flesh for Sale first. Keep a save before entering the village and its dialogue.
- Only then continue Lambert’s investigation and the Hammond objective.
- Before leaving Lambert at the end of his sequence, check whether you can play him at Gwent. Do not assume every NPC will remain in the same place afterward.
Finding Lambert and the next objective
Read your current objective rather than following his position from an earlier stage. The older Steam discussion describes the Nowhere Inn during the Novigrad sequence and later movement to Kaer Morhen. These are stage-dependent player reports, not interchangeable permanent locations.
If Lambert is absent, record the completed and active objectives, not just “Lambert disappeared.” An unavailable dialogue after a story transition may need a previous save, while a wrong or frozen marker needs a different support report.
If Flesh for Sale is already unavailable
Keep the current save before testing a previous one. Load a separate slot from before advancing Lambert’s quest, then check Faroe. The sources do not establish a reset command that restores all related NPCs and flags safely. Continuing your current run is also a valid choice if replaying the earlier section is not worth it to you.
